Is student guarantee valid?

I have taken many guarantees in the past. Now I have signed one for my daughter.
What fascinates me is how lightweight it seems. I have signed electronically a short paragraph saying that I gurantee my daughter's payment of £125 per week rent during the fixed term. It says nothing about the tenant's other responsibiities, no witness, no explanation of how I can give notice after the fixed term. It is about one twentieth the length of the RLA deed of guarantee.
The have not asked me to identify myself and as far as I know they have not credit checked me. I have provided no evidence of my financial standing. For all they know the father is poorer than the daughter.
I no longer take guarantees but when I did mine were significantly more careful...
What are these people playing at?
The house is HMO in Durham, through an agency and the paperwork was done through Sturents
I know the process is complete because they sent me a copy of the signed ast...
