My ex-partner rented my dad's bungalow to a friend

The last payment of rent was February. He does not have a contract and did not pay a deposit. Since then he had not paid any money at all. He telephoned me in May and said he would soon have the money and pay it all back. I did not hear from him again. A couple of weeks ago I visited the property and asked when he would be paying again. He said he had no money to pay me. I told him my dad is going to start legal proceedings if you don't pay.

Please tell me what are the first steps I need to take to evict this person from my dad's property.
