I'm reviewing my Privacy Notice for my tenants.

My question is on data retention periods. I understand that I need to hold certain data for certain lengths of time.

For instance, your GDPR page gives the example of 12 months for right to rent data.

I think that I need to keep rent payment data for taxation purposes for 7 years and I assume, it's good practice to keep certain tenant data for 5? years to provide references for future landlords?

Is there a list of typical requirements for landlords to keep data to meet legal obligations?

Thank you.
