Dear NLA
I have a tenant in a studio flat. He has been there for 3 years and always pays his rent, albeit often late. I have reason to suspect that he is a drug dealer. Another tenant in the building has just sent me a photo of his front door, the lock has been removed for someone to gain entry and I haven't been able to contact the tenant for about a week. I am not sure what I do now? It could have been the police or one of the tenants 'associates' who damaged the door. Do I call the police? Inspect the flat? If he has been arrested and detained am I able to evict him? He currently has £600 of rent arrears (the monthly rent is £400).
Thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards
