I just thought I would let people know that, regretfully, I recently took out two policies with this company and both tenants had problems with their boilers this month. Both tenants complained that they had great difficulty reaching Better Home Cover - remember, we are talking about emergencies here. When they did finally speak to someone and a contractor visited the properties, I was advised that the boilers were "not economically viable to fix" and they suggested that I needed new boilers in both properties. I suspected that this was not correct, cancelled my contracts with them and had to take out new contracts with British Gas (with whom I had contracts previously). British Gas came out and fixed both boilers immediately with no questions asked. If you do take out a policy with this company, be wary - landlords do not want to be landed with unnecessary expenditure when there is no need for it.
