I am considering passing over a portfolio of residential units to a managing agent to take away the burden of the day to day maintenance from me. The agent already does my lettings. Does anyone know whether there is a legal requirement for the managing agent to collect the rent from the tenant in order for them to be my representative or can i still collect the rent directly into my account.
