We have a standard 6months tenancy agreement which generally then becomes a rolling contract and we dont reissue contracts after 6months. On this occasion we have a tenant moving in that has paid the 6months up front so I ahve added a line stating they are paying the first 6months on commencement of contract then monthly payemnts on 1st of each month thereafter. Does this cover me so that they are obliged beyond the 6 months to pay the normal rent without the need for me to issue them with a new contract?
