My wife and I are purchasing the adjoining house (we are a pair of semis). We are paying second home tax as both properties will remain separate. The house we are buying is inhabitable. It does not have electrics, hot water, heating, a bathroom or a kitchen. I understand we may be able to reclaim some or all of the SDLT we are paying at the 3% premium. IS this correct and how do we go about it? Thanks, Michael & Donna.
