I have a tentant that whos AST expired on 5th January 2009 and signed to stay on a month to month. She failed to pay her rent due in advance for the 5th and moved out yesterday without giving any notice. Under everything I read she has to give 4 weeks written notice. Is she due rent for the month as she failed to give notice and rent up to the notice period as my understanding you are liable for rent until expiration of the notice period.
