Tenant wanting to use deposit to pay rent

I have a tenant moving out - who wants to use her deposit to pay rent - the tenant pays her rent weekly - she is already 2 weeks behind on her rent and has 2 weeks left before she checks out(4 weeks rent before she checks out) - her deposit is 2 weeks rent - she does not keep her room well - I am worried that I will be out of pocket for rent also time and expense getting her room back up to standard - have told the tenant that she can not use her deposit to pay rent - she has said that when she gets her deposit back that she will give it to me - I have asked for a room inspection to ensure that the room is in the condition that she was given it in - what else can I do - my tenant has fallen on hard times...
