We recently added addenda to the tenancy agreements of four seperate room-only tenants in one of our properties. This was done to comply with the new tenancy deposit scheme as recommended by the RLA. It turns out that in doing this we have invalidated the original Section 21 issued at the start of the tenancy, again a recommendation of the RLA. We are lucky to have good tenants but when the first year of the tenancy agreements is reached in September, should we issue new agreements with fresh Section 21 coverage just to be on the safe side?
