Issuing S21 early
Possession - Section 8 and Section 21

I don't understand why it is advisable to issue a section 21 at the start of a tenancy.
If I do this, when the tenant is staying on after the assured 6mths and then I then want to ask them to leave, how much notice do I still have to give?
