My tenant was informed of plumbing works that had to be completed at my flat. He agreed and said this was fine as long as it was while he was working during the day and that he had water on when he came home. This was agreed. Plumbers started work today to put in a new water supply. They have to come back tomorrow to hopefully finish the job. The tenant is in the last week of his tenancy. He is leaving next Saturday evening. I had a phone call today to say that he is having a day off on Friday to complete his packing and that no way can he have people working around him should the works not be copleted by tomorrow (Thursday). He says that they will have to come another day. I have new tenants that will be moving in late on Monday 31st January. As with all building/plumbing works there can never be any guarantees that jobs will be finshed on time. My question is, can my tenant refuse entry to my plumbers to complete the work if indeed thay do have to come back on friday?
