My managing agent served a section 8 notice on my behalf a month ago. Things are now progressing to court. To try and keep costs down I am using one of the fixed fee companies to manage the process but their solicitor has now advised that as I was not personally named on the notice (it was the agent's name and address that was included but the appropriate box was ticked accordingly so its hardly ambiguous) the court will likely deem it invalid and I should re-serve.

Is this correct or is someone trying to scam me out of £100?
