Hello,

I have tenants that have been on an AST for 3 years. We have never renewed the tenancy agreement and we are happy to let it run as a periodic tenancy.
However, someone told me that after 3 years an AST is no longer valid and a different form of contract is required.
Is this true? It is the first I have heard of anything like this.

Thanks in anticipation.

Peter
