I recently let out a one bedroom flat to 2 young ladies.they are not a family and they each have a room in the flat but share the amenities. they are jointly responsible for the bills.What I am not sure of is whether the council tax will be in both their names or in the name of one of them. I do not want to take charge of the council tax payment for obvious reasons. What is the best or right thing to do?
