Are you please able to advise me if there is anything I can do regarding another Landlord who has had a laminate floor installed in the Studio apartment above my property. This is causing the extreme distress for my tenants who are complaining of severe impact noise.
I have visited the property myself and experienced the noise levels however whilst I can unserstand my tenants distress I have to say that the tenant above is just going abour their normal daily life. Unfortunately the tenant above is extremely heavy footed, the floorboards are creaky and there appear to have been little if any underlay installed beneath the laminate.
I always believed there to be some element in Building Control which laid down fairly strict guidelines regarding the installation of laminate flooring in non purpose built buildings but I cannot confirm this in my investigations.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received

Thank you
