We have taken over management of a property portfolio from another letting agent.
We have noticed that the tenancy agreements for the tenancies are in the name of the former agent and in most cases do not name the landlord.
In the section to name the landlord they state the following:

(Agents on behalf of the landlord)
XXX Limited
followed by the address of the agency

We are in the process of seeking possession of a couple of properties under section 8 and section 21 and we are about to seek possession orders from the courts.
Are the section 21 and section 8 notices valid?
Do we need to issue notices to the tenant informing them of the name of the landlord and the change of management company?

Many thanks,

Peter
