Tenant dies

My divorced tenant passed away in december and we agreed with his ex for her to keep the property til end of january. Problem is we have people want it in february and no items have been removed. Legally what can be done with the items, we dont know if some items are borrowed, rented or on finance, also the property is not likely to be cleaned either. Can we retain part of deposit to pay to have the items removed. The deceased has an appointed solicitor but is almost unwilling to talk to us! Any genuine advice welcome.
