Hi, I dont know about laws with special cases like this, to flip this on its head, what grants (free money) is their that you can utilise to improve your property, does this have an effect on subsidies that you can get ??? I have spoke to a few people an they have talked about this sort of thing and the amount of government assistance that can be got to make this lucative for you. maybe try the LHA web site for links and the local council to see if they run any schemes.
