I renewed a tenancy with my tenant yesterday as she and her husband have separated. She assured me that she was in a position to pay the rent I therefore went ahead with the tenancy.
Today she has texed me asking me to reduce the rent by £50 per month in order for her to stay at the property. Have I been duped by this tenant and is there anything that I can do now or must I wait until the end of the contract, as I feel she is definitely going default on the rent?
