Tenancy Types and Management

I have just received the following email from one of my tenants

Over the last couple of months ive been trying to focus less time on my tutoring and more time doing production running for television in the hope that i can get a post production role further down the line. One problem with this game is that contracts are sporadic and so to help me out I want to try to claim housing benefit from the council. To get it approved I have received a confirmation letter from Lewisham for you to sign, to confirm the details of my tenancy. Is this alright with you guys? I don't think it should disrupt anything at all really. Let me know and then I'll stick these papers in the post.

The tenancy is halfway through a year contract, would this affect anything about the contract, its renewal or eventual repossession of the property?
