I have a HMO with 5 tenants, who share bills 5 ways. Each tenant takes on a bill under their name. One of them is having difficulties getting money off two of the tenants and has asked me if I could hold back the deposit as he has not received their share. To add to this I have also not received rent from the two guys in question so there will not be anything left for me to give him. How does this this tenant get his share of the money? And can I hold back the deposit inorder to pay their share of the bill if there was cash left? Does anyone have any exprience.
Hope this makes sense.
