Hello,

notice has been given to the agent managing 3 properties, they have informed us that there is a 3 month notice period which I accept. However they are also trying to keep a month's rent from each property (3 in total) as they found the tenants initially. the ASTs are all between landlord and tenant and not agent and tenant and have all been in the properties for some years.

Are they allowed to do this? it seems unreasonable to me. equal to keeping a years worth of commission on top of the 34 months notice.
