My tenants are in arrears and when I arranged an inspection visit they never showed up and I could not get access as they had changed the locks. I have posted an eviction letter and Section 8 notice through their door witnessed by an independant person on 30th Nov 2014. Can I inform them I am getting a locksmith in so I can regain access as I suspect they may have abandoned the property or are carrying out illegal actions at the house. The neighbours say they have not seen them recently and the bins are empty although there are personal items in the front room. What are my rights.
