Housing Benefit Overpayment

i have received a letter from the DWP debt management team saying they wish me to pay back an over payment they made of housing benefit. I am unsure whether i should be paying this back when it is clearly an error on behalf of the DWP. I made a one off claim for housing benefit that a tenant was unable to pay and was in arears, the DWP choose to pay me in instalments and then it seems forgot to switch off an automated payment!
I do not believe i am liable to pay this back (if i had received full rent during covid i would but have had no help from the uk government at all) but should i ignore the letters? or contact the debt management team and let them know i do not plan to pay it back. I should add i am an overseas landlord and they do not appear to have my details here and have sent letters to the property address. I have only received this last letter as my tenants have not been passing mail onto me, so i do not know what they think the reason for the over payment.
Any advice gratefully received.
If its best via a phone call i can call, just let me know
